Updated: Dec 14, 2020

  • Collaboration with other international artists

As stated by Lion Paw International on YouTube,he is collaborating with international artists. Moreover, according to News day April 2019,Nutty O opens up on music career: Zimdancehall chanter Carrington Chiwadzwa popularly known as Nutty O has collaborated with various international artists including recently sharing a stage with the Wailers at the Bob Marley Birthday Festival.

According to Wikipedia,it shows that Bob Marley is considered one of the pioneers of reggae, his musical career was marked by blending elements of reggae, ska and rocksteady as well as forging a smooth and distinctive vocal and songwriting style. Moreover,it states that Marley began his professional musical career in 1963 ,after forming Bob Marley and the Wailers.

The fact that Nutty O collaborated with the Wailers at the Bob Marley Birthday Festival is one of the reasons why he is considered to be holding the flag for Africa through his song Vroom. The song includes the genre "reggae".

  • Meeting with Michael Jackson's former producer

According to the interview with NewsDay (ND) Life & Style reporter Freeman Makopa, he mentions Nutty O's meeting with Michael Jackson's former producer,Quincy Jones. Moreover from the interview Nutty O said,"Yes he identified me at the sound and asked if I could do some freestyle on set. It was such a humbling experience".This shows one of the characteristics of Nutty O which is being humble.

The fact that the former producer,Quincy Jones took notice of Nutty O's talent clearly shows that Nutty O is holding the flag for Africa. As stated on the song, Vroom he said that he is not stopping. This is probably making reference to him not giving up on his dreams because if he had given up on his dreams,Quincy Jones would not have taken notice of his talent in the first place. This shows that Nutty O does not give up easily.

  • A role model to other artists

According to the interview with NewsDay (ND) Life & Style reporter,Freeman Makopa,Nutty O mentions his best and worst moments in his music career. He said,"The worst moment in my career was when promoters failed to fulfill their end [of the bargain].I have been robbed a lot of times locally and abroad. It's sad that we do have quite a number of bogus promoters in Zimbabwe. My best moment is when I sing and people relate to my lyrics".

When Nutty O mentions the worst part of his music career,he highlights some of the challenges musicians face. However the fact that he has not given up actually motivates other musicians to keep on working hard and never giving up on their dreams.

Nutty O's single "Vroom"

This is why on the song, Vroom Nutty O said,"I manna fly to the sky" means that he is still rising ,never giving up on being the great musician. Moreover, Nutty O mentions the best moment of his career. It shows that when he sings he wants people to relate to his lyrics. This is why at the beginning of the song Vroom it starts like this:

"Well well

Tell them ,tell them yeahh...."

Already it makes one wonder what he is talking about hence influencing us to listen to the rest of the song.

Moreover on the interview with NewsDay (ND) Life & Style reporter,Freeman Makopa,Nutty O gives advice to artists on how to not fall victim to bogus promoter.Nutty O said, "We need to own our hustles.Artistes alone can get together and decide what should happen and what should not and push it through" hence artists should not give up.

  • Meaning behind the song Vroom

According to 2 Broke Twimbos,Military Touch Movement signee Nutty O has released the video to his high-flying single Vroom celebrating the ability to drive up past his haters.

"Vroom" music video

From my point of view, the above statement about 2 Broke Twimbos shows the reason why the song Vroom was written. The title Vroom was probably chosen to show that he has become a successful music artist hence he has proven his haters that they were wrong to think he could not succeed. This is why he is celebrating his ability to drive up past his haters.

Moreover on the lyrics where it says:

"...Tell them,tell them

I'm not stopping

Ndikandei pamsoro

Pamsoro pema enemies yeah

Ndi vure maziso aah ndione ma frienemies yeahh..

Coz in andione

Itai ndione jah-jah

In andizive...

Itai ndizive GOD.."

He is asking God to show him who are his enemies hence he is asking who is real and who is fake around him. This shows that no matter how good you are, there will always be people who do not like you hence the song encourages us to stay true to who we are and just live our lives for us not for others.

As stated by Lion Paw International on YouTube."This song is very close to home" hence this is based on Nutty O's personal experience. This point is supported on the interview with NewsDay (ND) Life & Style reporter Freeman Makopa where Nutty O said,"My best moment is when I sing and people relate to my lyrics".

In conclusion, collaboration with other international artists,Nutty O meeting with Michael Jackson's former producer,Nutty O being a role model to other artists and meaning behind the song ,Vroom are the reasons why Nutty O is considered to be holding the flag for Africa through his song, Vroom.
