Zinarayah Drops New Love Song "Still The One" | Chamhembe Zvekare Album Release

Chamhembe has long been a catalyst for Urban Grooves' next big things. Now, visionary producer Take Fizzo (Tatenda Jenami) has reassembled the dream team, injecting fresh energy with talents like Zinarayah, for the highly-anticipated fourth chapter, 'Chamhembe Zvekare', which dropped on September 30, 2024.

Zinarayah is a dynamic female duo comprising two African women from diverse ethnic backgrounds. Deline Masiyiwa, the melanin mezzo-soprano queen of Zambian descent, and Rachel Mkorongo, the captivating soprano songstress from Malawi, bring their unique talents together. Their music is a mix of Afrobeat, soul, jazz and RnB. After years of perseverance in the music industry, they achieved a breakthrough with their single "Still The One" (feat. Scarzz), released under the esteemed Chamhembe Zvekare Album.

Still The One is a love song about a special someone who's the perfect match. The song begins with a slow-paced melody, featuring Deline's vocals delivering a preview of her verse: "Boy, I know you're still the one, still the one (still the one). There could never be no one, no one (no one)." This intro sets the tone for the rest of the song.

Next, backed by a steady beat, Rachel delivers a captivating verse:

January to December / Ndiwe wega une flavor / Pane vese vakayedza / Ma spots ese wakapedza / Rudo rwako ndakatemba (ndinotemba) / Handikusiye uriwega (uriwega) / Moyo wangu waperera (ndaperera/ January to December.

Her soprano vocals shine on 'ndinotemba', 'uriwega', and 'ndaperera', demonstrating Rachel's vocal prowess.

Next, Deline delivers her verse, backed by a steady beat with a subtle bassline:

Boy I know you still the one still the one (still the one) / Boy I know you still the one still the one (still the one) / There could never be noone be noone (be noone)/There could never be no one be noone (be noone) but you

Followed by:

Ndiwe wandinoda unezvese zvandinoda iwewe / Ndiwe waninoda unezvese zvandinoda iwewe

Her mezzo-soprano vocals shine on 'still the one' and 'be no one' demonstrating Deline's vocal prowess.

Later, Scarzz, formerly of Madd Flavah (Take Fizzo's group), delivers his verse, showcasing his rapping skills, as seen in the lyrics below.

Still the one that put a smile up on my face / When I think about the day / When we met up in that place / It was a Saturday / Swept you up your feet / And you got carried away / Never doubted we be together today............."

After some time, the track concludes with Zinarayah's soaring vocals.

Overall, I loved the track's concept and the artists' impressive vocals and lyrics. However, Zinarayah's vocals were sometimes drowned out by the production, especially in the background vocals and the phrase "Ndiwe wandinoda unezvese zvandinoda iwewe." Still, it's a solid track, deserving of 7/10.
