Paris, December 15, 2021 - After the good reception of her first single "So good to me" released in April 2021, Arielle Diba announces the release of her second single "Africa wins tonight". It is all about the spirit of Ubuntu. Ubuntu preaches the idea of common humanity and the idea of oneness that remains prevalent in Africa.
"Africa wins tonight" is a dynamic and unifying song that celebrates the diversity and beauty of African people. Boosted by its up-tempo and its afro house influences, this catchy track was written by the talented singer of Cameroonian origin Arielle Diba and produced by Nicolas Lassus, already found in the production of the singer’s previous single "So good to me".
With "Africa wins Tonight", Arielle pays a brilliant tribute to the African Cup of Nations which is taking place in her native Cameroon in January 2022. A powerful declaration of excitement and pride for an Africa that wins as a whole. Because whichever country wins the World Cup, Africa as a whole will be elevated! This song is for me a hymn to the beauty and the diversity of the African peoples gathered, in homage to the African Cup of Nations of football which will take place in January 2022 in Cameroon. This is evident in the song lyrics where she said in the chorus:
"Come and join the party Africa wins tonight /Tell to everybody Africa wins tonight /Come with all your people and raise up high your flag / East to west and North to south, Africa wins tonight / Iyelele ma eh Iye, iye ma eh iye, Iyelele ma eh Iye, Africa wins tonight (x2) / Iye ma eh iye, iye Africa wins tonight (X2)"
In light of the chorus above, it is all about the spirit of Ubuntu among Africans. It doesn't matter whether they are from the east, west, north or southern Africa, Africa wins the African Cup of Nations. I love the concept of ubuntu and that it is all about unity among Africans. Therefore, I rate the track 10/10.
