In my previous music review about the single, "Journey" by Noah Singer, I stated that the song is about him taking the first step toward becoming a recording artist. Moreover, as stated by the press release provided by Meikhel Philogene, "The song has amassed tens of thousands of streams so far." Therefore, it is one of the reasons why Noah's singer has returned with an album titled, Journey. It was released on Friday, November 20th, 2020. What is the album talking about? In the press release, Nouh Singer said, "It is the story of my road to becoming an artist and the person I am today,".

There are important facts one needs to know about the album which can be shown through the track list.

The Track List :

  1. Nice To Meet You

  2. I'll Take You Where You Want To Go

  3. Journey

  4. Forever With You

  5. Love On The Brain

1. Nice To Meet You

Each track list takes one on a different journey. For instance, the first track Nice To Meet You seems to refer to Noah embarking on a journey with his lover. At the beginning of the track, there seems to be an electric guitar starts playing. It seems calm and relaxing. Afterwards, it seems the beat sounds like a bass. In the Chorus Noah singer said, "I like to meet ya / Then I will release ya / Coz I like to see you next to me". From the chorus, it seems to be referring to his lover. For example, Singer uses his vocals to emphasize the word, "me". It could probably mean that he does not want to be separated from the one he loves. As one dives deeper into the song, it seems to get even more personal. In the second verse Noah Singer said, "I just met you." Therefore, there’s a long pause on the word “you” to clearly shows his feelings towards the person he loves. Moreover, Noah Singer goes on to say, "I want to get to learn the way you move the way you are." The voice changes to a soft sound-like alto sound like voice and his vocals are smooth. From my point of view, the song remains consistent with the beat despite the three-beat changes. The lyrics are clear as well as his voice which seems smooth. The beat seems relaxing. This song highlights the relevance of the title journey since in this case, he seems to be on a journey with his lover. The way it seems, this track has proven to be intriguing since one can relate to the song, especially when it comes to love. There was a home pitch at the end of the song which makes us feel secure.

2. I'll Take You Where You Want To Go

The second track I'll Take You Where You Want To Go is similar to the first track. For instance, it is referring to Noah's lover, it is also calm and relaxing. However, it has some differences. For example, at the beginning of the track, a normal guitar starts playing in the background for a while. Afterwards, he starts singing with sort of a low pitch pitched voice saying, “We went outside /I grabbed the car/put in drive/then we will go far /I will take you where you want to go, to go, to go oh oh.." There seem to be no additional beats in the background, just the normal guitar. This was probably down to show the relaxing effect of going on a journey. Moreover, this journey could be referring to him on his journey of becoming an artist. Lastly, at the end of the track, Noah singer said, "I will take you where you want to go, to go, to go oh oh."His vocals seem to be getting lower and lower hence there is a home pitch where one feels secure and knows that the song has ended. From my point of view, so far Noah Singer maintains the theme of the album journey.

3. Journey

The third track Journey. Noah Singer released the single on Friday, October 2nd 2020. It has reached tens of thousands of streams so far. In my music review, I stated that the song could be interpreted as him taking the first step toward becoming an artist. For more details about the single, "Journey", you can click the link below :

4. Forever With You

The fourth track is titled, Forever With You. At the beginning of the track, an acoustic guitar seems to bean playing throughout the song. Words such as, "This is where our story starts

/ When you came you stole my heart." this clearly shows that this is about his lover. The way it seems each track seems to get deeper and deeper in the sense that Noah Singer seems to be telling a story about his journey with his love. It explains why there is just a normal guitar playing in the background. It is probably there to signify how Noah Singer is committed to the relationship. Furthermore, in the chorus, he said, "Forever with you / Forever with you girl …” with a high-pitched voice, probably to emphasise that he loves her. Lastly, there is a home pitch at the end of the track where he said, "When we standing side by side." Another reason why there is a home pitch at the end of the track is that after those words there is a moment of silence, probably for the listeners to feel secure and appreciate this track. The way it seems, the song seems straightforward, especially the lyrics. Anyone can tell what the track is about hence it is a good track to listen to.

5. Love On The Brain

The fifth track is titled Love On The Brain. There seems to be a mixture of beats and an electric guitar playing in the background. Furthermore, words such as "...Love on the brain / You got me going insane..." has two possible meanings. In this case, he is talking about the woman he loves. Another meaning could be something hidden, which is his love of being a musician because Noah Singer has stated that the album is about the journey of him becoming an artist. In general, the beat throughout the song remains consistent and there is a home pitch at the end of the song.

6. Pictures On The Walls

In this track, Noah Singer shows his appreciation towards his lover. There seems to be an acoustic guitar playing in the background throughout the song. Moreover, in the chorus, he said, "I put the pictures on the walls / Stayed up all night for your calls / Made some dinner, made the bed." This is his way of showing his love and that is probably why the beat remains consistent. It is a way of showing that his love will remain consistent. Lastly, there is a home pitch at the end of the track where he said, "..and now I'm going to get some rest."

7. Stronger

As the title of the song suggests, Noah's singer has realised his true strength as a person and as an artist. The acoustic guitar plays in the background. Moreover, it seems that his relationship did not work out as shown in the lyrics where he said, "..I’m better off without you, why can't you let me go, my heart can't take this anymore." There could be another possible meaning of this song. It could mean that he had to make some sacrifices to become the musician he is today. After all, Noah Singer was a musical theatre performer before transitioning to become a recording artist. This was his journey of becoming a recording artist hence why the album seems to be about his journey of becoming an artist. Lastly in the track, there is a home pitch where he said, "...let me be free." In other words, he is doing something he loves which is making music.

8. Tough Times

The final seems to be about Noah Singer going through some tough times, especially without someone keeping him company. However, Noah Singer knows that things will be okay despite the challenges. This is shown when he said, "I know it will be okay / when you return by my side." There is a home pitch at the end of the track. The track was probably put at the end to show his listeners that there will be challenges along the way. Noah Singer also faces some challenges however he finds a way to remain positive and he probably wants his listeners to stay positive as well.

In a nutshell, the album is basically about Noah Singer's journey of being a recording artist. He has released this album to show his journey of being an artist. The album seems intriguing to anyone interested in listening to his music.
