Marlounsly releases, "Lie Again".

Marlounsly released a single titled, "Lie Again" on Friday, September 18th 2020.


As stated by Apex Coture Magazine, "....Marlounsly (IG) releases her soulful new single Lie Again where she dares her lover to lie to her one more time and he shall reap the consequence". Therefore, this track seems to be about relationship problems. This is shown in the lyrics below :


"You know I take care of everything when you wanted me to

I swear I would have loved you for the hell of it

But you just take advantage and I'm tired of it...."


From my point of view, the track is about Marlounsly's relationship. She is putting effort into the relationship while her lover is taking advantage of her. He is probably taking advantage because he knows she will do anything to be with him, hence why the lyrics say, "You know I take care of everything when you wanted me to". Moreover, he doesn't respect the relationship in the sense that he keeps telling her lies. However, Marlounsly isn't gullible to believe his lies as it is shown in the lyrics/chorus below:


"Don't be so stupid

I know what the truth is

Just testing your honesty, hey

Confide in, confide in me..."


Marlounsly brings out the high pitched voice in the chorus probably to show that she is tired of the lies. Additionally, the beat of the song seems consistent and has a guitar-like sound, probably to bring out the storyline in the track, "Lie Again".


In a nutshell, the single Lie Again is about Marlounsly who is tired of all the lies from her lover hence she is putting herself first. She knows she deserves better. She probably released the track to let everyone know that they deserve to be treated with respect. In the track, Marlounsly is probably leaving the relationship and moving on so that she can focus on herself.
