Cameroonian rapper, Hopiho has released an album titled, En attendant on 3 August 2020. Hopiho has stated that, "It's a real album but it's not a 'normal' album because the circumstances were different". This is because of the Covid19 pandemic. Due to social distancing restrictions, Hopiho decided to remix a lot of his songs and did a few unreleased tracks. Therefore, this album is unique.

i_am_music_criticism : Why is the album called "En attendant"?
Hopiho : "En attendant"means "while we're waiting". I work on this album during confinement. And I remember eagerly waiting for good news, waiting for things to get back to normal but they never did.
From my point of view, the album was released due to the Covid19 pandemic. Since he was waiting for things to get back to normal, things never did. Therefore that's why the album is called "En attendant. Since he worked on this album during confinement, it explains why the album cover shows a picture of him at the fence.
i_am_music_criticism : From the album, which one's are your favourite songs and why?
Hopiho : My favourite track? "Grace a toi". It means "thanks to you". It's a song I wrote about my father...He's always been a very supportive father. And I just wanted to give him his flowers when he can still smell them.
His father celebrated his 70th birthday on 22 July 2020. Therefore, "Grace a toi" is his way of thanking his father for everything he has done for him. Moreover, "Grace a toi" is one of the few unreleased tracks in the album.
En attendant is an album where Hopiho was finding ways to stay active, to stay creative in terms of his music. Hopiho has stated that he hates being idle hence proving his passion for making music.
