Lu$ has released her EP titled, Moody on 12 June 2020.
The Track List :
Moody
Selfish
Needed ft (L'Suavo)
Lie To Me
The track Moody seems to be about her realizing that she's not happy in the relationship. Words like, "I get lonely even when I'm next to you" is the starting point of her putting her happiness first over her lover. This is why she said, "I don't really need you, call me selfish". On the track, there is soul and emotion to express her hurt. However ,she knows it's better to be happy than staying in a relationship where she's not happy.
The track Selfish shows that she has started putting her happiness first over her lover. On ths song, Lu$ said, "Tired of trying to be perfect for you". From my point of view, I believe that he was trying to change who she is as a person. However, she decides to put herself first even though he thinks she's selfish. This was probably a toxic relationship where she realized she was losing her identity as a person. This teaches one to stay true to who they really are as a person.
The track Needed is probably about the ex who wants to come back in her life. This can be shown on the words, "You probably needed the love I gave you".
The track Lie To Me is about her lover who is two faced. This is shown where Lu$ said, "You put me first and you still betray me". He was a wolf in sheep clothing where he seemed all innocent but turned out to be a liar, a cheat probably.
What is the EP, "Moody" all about?
As stated by Meikhel Philogene, Founder and CEO of M.E.I Recordings :
"Moody" EP was entirely written by Lu$ and produced by Terrance Daniels. Lu$ is known for her emotionally charged music. "'Moody' [EP] is about a girl who is expressing her hurt, confusion, and experiences with love," Lu$ explains. Each song tells a story of relationship woes and self-care. The song "Moody," which inspired the titular EP, is about being in one's feelings and taking some time for oneself. "We aren't happy all of the time, sometimes we are sad for no reason. We don't owe explanations to anyone for the way we feel. Everything will be fine."
"Moody" EP is fierce, sexy, and empowering. You will be playing it on a loop for years to come. Lu$'s music will leave you breathless, joyous, and/or tearful. The 20-year-old songstress is only getting started.
From my point of view, I believe it's about getting over a heartbreak and the importance of self love. The message from the EP could be about letting yourself heal from a heartbreak and moving on with a positive mind about life.
