Logan J Parker said, "Sweet Songs of Love is a song I wrote two Christmases ago for my then-boyfriend who was away at the time. I found it hard to cope with the many miles between us at such a special time of the year, so I wrote this song wishing it would somehow shorten the distance between us. Right before Christmas and after I sent him the song he broke up with me via text message. I was heartbroken but I am glad I was able to write such a beautiful piece. For instance, Ariana Grande released her song, "Thank You Next" on November 3, 2018. It reflected on her past relationships hence it was a hit, debuted at number one on the Billboard 100 (Wikipedia). Therefore, Logan J Parker is right when she said pain creates art.
What makes this song worth listening to? The evidence is provided through her song lyrics and music video. In terms of the music video, there are many images of her with her then-boyfriend. For instance, they seem to be taking a walk at a park, at the mall holding hands, at a restaurant etc. All of these images prove that she is reminiscing about the good times she spent with her ex-boyfriend. I believe she shares these memories with her audience because of one valid reason. She wants to let them know that it is normal to have memories of their ex.
