There are some series of events which can explain how Revenge of the Dreamers I,II and III came into existence.
According to the Revenge Documentary on YouTube by Dreamville,Revenge of the dreamers I was released in 2014 with J.Cole,Omen and Bas when Dreamville Records was first formed. Moreover on Wikipedia it states that K-Quick as well as Treasure were also part of the mixtape. Producers on this album include J.Cole ,Omen,Ron Gilmore,Cedric Brown,K-Quick and Jay Kurzweil. On January 28 ,2014 at a show at the Theater at Madison Square Garden,Cole announced that his Dreamville imprint had signed a distribution deal with Interscope Records which celebrated his 29th birthday. Attendees at the show received a flyer announcing the deal and a copy of the mixtape while officially announcing the signing of Bas.

What does the title,"Revenge of the Dreamers" mean?
From my point of view,if we look at the lyrics, "Revenge of the Dreamers" by J.Cole there is a certain part where he says,
"Look,ayo, I walk along this long
harbor of life and sit on the pieces
Reflect on my pain and shit on my
fears
Should I feel an ounce of guilt that I
outdid all my peers?
Or write my name in the sky and show
them niggas I'm here?
This one is for the history books,
picture me shook or failin'
This is revenge of the dreamers".
There is use of rhetorical questions above to clearly show that he is making a statement.He is not going to let anything come in the way of his dreams.Moreover the use of the word, "history" means that he is about to make history with his album,"Revenge of the Dreamers".
Therefore,the title,"Revenge of the Dreamers" is more like an anthem to all Dreamville artists that they are going to be the greatest of all time whatever it takes.They will not let anyone or anything to demotivate them pursuing their dreams.

According to the Revenge Documentary on YouTube by Dreamville ,Revenge of the Dreamers II was released in 2015 after the roster grew to include Ari Lennox,Cozz and Lute.Moreover on Wikipedia,producers on this album include J.Cole,Cedric Brown,K-Quick,Soundwave,Meez,Elite,Ron Gilmore Jr,DJ Grumble and J.Dilla.

The new album:Revenge of the Dreamers III
According to Wikipedia,Revenge of the Dreamers III is the third compilation album by America record label Dreamville and J.Cole released on July 5,2019 by Dreamville Records and Interscope Records.
Moreover on the Revenge Documentary by Dreamville they stated that after signing JID and EARTHGANG,Revenge of the Dreamers III set out to do something that hadn't been done before.
On Wikipedia it says that J.Cole took to Twitter to announce the album by uploading a gold-poster like invitation,The poster read:"Your presence and participation is requested for the recording sessions of the upcoming compilation album Revenge of the Dreamer III".Recording sessions took place in Atlanta at Tree Sound Studios beginning January 6.
From my point of view,this seems to be the history J.Cole was talking about on his song,"Revenge of the Dreamers"on the first album. Moreover on the Revenge Documentary on YouTube Ibrahim Hamad president of Dreamville stated that his dream was to bring the artists in one place.Together they managed to make history and accomplished their dreams. They invited other producers and artists for example T-Minus,Mike Will Made-IT,Dreezy,etc. It created competition in good ways says Ibrahim Hamad.

Moreover J.Cole said on the Revenge Documentary "This shit is not dope because its a new experience which it is but because of many artists and producers you have never been around with".The album ROTD3 is unique in nature because this has never been done before by any other label.J.Cole was making sure that producers and artists have space at the same time he was writing his music and producing beats
This shows that everyone was working extremely hard for the album ROTD3 to be the greatest of all time.
On the Revenge Documentary on YouTube J.Cole states that he loves his song ,"MIDDLE CHILD"which is why it is included in the album.Moreover it was produced byT-Minus which is why he was invited to the recording sessions in the first place.T-Minus stated that ,"I never experienced a camp like this..."which means that it was a wonderful experience.Personally I think "MIDDLE CHILD"was included in the album because J.Cole was paving the way for other rapper to be real with their music.Moreover J.Cole said on the song MIDDLE CHILD ,"This year gon'be different ,I set my intentions "means that he is ready to dominate the music scene no matter what.
According to the Revenge Documentary on YouTube the purpose of the album ROTD3 was to empower everyone.
